Nuo sandals start where most products end. Discarded flip-flops recovered from the ocean are cleaned, shredded and pressed into our colourful signature soles. Instead of creating new materials, we give existing ones a second life.

Upper: Recycled PVC with a leather-look finish. PVC is a durable, flexible type of plastic. Ours is recycled, giving it a second life instead of ending up as waste. Treated to look and feel like leather, minus the animals.

Inner: Soft-touch textile lining that keeps your feet feeling good, even after hours.

Midsole: Our signature colourful nuoceans layer, made from 100% recycled flip-flops pulled from the ocean.

Footbed: 100% recycled cork with a 3mm cushioned foam layer on top. Cork is a natural, sustainable wonder - it’s insulating, shock-absorbing, and harvested from the bark of cork oak trees, and in our case, reused from cork waste like wine stoppers etc.

Outsole: Recycled EVA - lightweight, springy, and amazing at softening every step. EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is an elastic material with excellent cushioning, so every step feels softer. And, in our case, it’s made from leftover EVA scraps from the shoe industry, saving perfectly good material from going to waste.

We accept returns within 14 days of purchase. Just make sure they are in the original box and unworn.

Upper: Clean away dirt using a damp cloth only. Allow to dry, then clean with a soft dry sponge. Do not use leather cleaner as this may damage the finish.

Insole: Use baking soda & a bit of water to create a paste. Rub onto the footbed and leave to set for an hour. Clean with a damp or dry sponge. Removes dirt, sweat and odour.

We do not recommend this product for use in water. Prolonged exposure to water can damage the product.
